[EK!] productions was set up by Filmmaker & Choreographer Rebecca (Bex) Melvin Phillips and began life as a multi-media dance company called Eklectika! Dance by Design. In 2016 the company evolved into an independent film production company, which has so far produced music video, experimental dance film, animation & narrative short films.

THIS WAY UP
A multimedia dance installation performed in a purpose built, mobile 'amorphic theatre'. This work combines live performance, projection and audiovisuals to challenge the audiences perception of time and space.

SAW THUMBS
Saw Thumbs was created in responce to moving from my home in the Midlands to Manchester. I explored my new city, it's buildings and alleyways, rooftops and footpaths, finding comfort and magic in the arcitechture which most people pass by without noticing. This piece was performed in one of the locations I stumbled across which was fondly named 'The Gap'. Video projection, sound and live performance where combined and presented in The Gap to an audience, and any passers by that noticed this happening.

THE MEDUSA BOX
'The Medusa Box' will be [EK!] Productions debut feature film and tells the story of two mismatched hobbyists on a quest across Dartmoor to uncover the secret of 'The Elusive Medusa'.
The innocent past time of Letterboxing, along with the stunning scenery of Dartmoor, forms the backdrop to a twisting tale of unhealthy obsessions and sinister secrets, one that will appeal to anybody with an appetite for mysteries and perhaps a little of the macabre.
The 'Prologue' to The Medusa Box was filmed on location in March this year and footage is currently being edited, and the score to this opening scene written. Once finished, this opening scene will play an integral part in raising funds to take the rest of this feature film into production.
